Default Improving The Tome System

I actually play about 50/50 pve and pvp, and the only thing I would like is an easier way for pve chars get skills to use in pvp because if you have spent time it takes to develop pve character you should really be able to use them in any situation for GvG or HA as long as you can obtain the skill. The problem is obtaining skills for PvE characters can be an extremely time consuming and difficult in comparison with the ease of getting them in PvP which is why I for the most part use PvP characters in PvP, but I would like to and think that I deserve to use my PvE characters considering the time I spent making them. Guild Wars is huge, there really should be an easier way to get the skills you want for a PvE character rather than having to grind throgh each and every campaign with each and every character. The tomes have been somewhat helpful for that but not completely as they are extremely rare. If you think making a pvp character is hard, try making a pve character. ....My Proposed Solution....

I would like to see something like a signet that you could use to capture elite or nonelite skills for other pve characters on your account from bosses in hard mode, that would be cool. It would be sold at skill trainers the way that signet of captures are sold. Basically you kill an ele boss in hard mode and use this signet to gain something like an elite ele tome that could not be traded or sold, but be put in your storage and used to learn an elite ele skill for another character on your account. Hence if you have an ele that is still in factions and you wanted to learn an ele elite from the end of NF you could kill the boss in hard mode with a character that has been through NF and get the skill for your ele.

Because these things could not be sold or traded you wont have the people crying about people being able to buy the elite skill hunter title. Lol, elite skill hunter, who really cares anyway. Seriously, not to be rude but what kind of a person wastes a tremendous amount of time getting experience and skill points, then ontop of that wastes it all along with a alot of gold getting a bunch of skills of which 75% of them will probably be of no use to the character at all. The vast majority of them would be from secondary professions, not to say that all secondary elites are useless, but its at the most a few that will ever be of any use at all.

I assume you would buy this new signet of capture from the skill trader and II guess it would cost 1k and 1 skill point right?

Lets assume you can buy an elite tome for around 5k, or maybe less if they want to get rid of it.

Your paying gold anyway, so I dont really see why we need this new style signet of capture. Just try to barter an elite tome seller down in price!

Just make a PvP char, its really that simple. You then have full use of every unlocked skill on your account. And if u really need an elite for PVP, Cap it on ur primary character (changing secondary if nessicary) or unlock it via faction.

Your post makes no sense logically. It's kinda circular. Anyways, it takes more than just having the right skills to make a top notch PvP-ready character. Anything less, and you're better off making a PvP-only character for it.

Besides, tomes already perform this functionality.

What "Logic" did you read it with? Its not really about pvping, its about making it easier to PvP with your roleplaying characters if you want to, which is very difficult to do compared to making a PvP character. As the OP states and everyone knows, and Im sorry that I have to actually point this out, but I do in order prevent all of the mindless just use a PvP character comments that will ensue as a fix, yes you can PvP with PvP character, but thats what the OP is about, and its not a fix. Yes, tomes do already serve this purpose but they are so rare and hard to get, and so random. Having a guaranteed way to get them, and the ones you want would be nice.

Another ideas that I have read in another post that would fix this is being able to use skill points to learn elite skills, 1 skill point to learn regular skills, 5 skill points to learn an elite skill.

How about just allowing your PvE chars to just have all skills that your whole account has while on the Battle isles? then when you go back to PvE you only have the PvE skills you have unlocked the traditional way.... no disadvantage that i can think of... makes PvP better and doesn't hurt PvE. Plus your PvE chars can still wear their tormented weps or fow armor or whatever.

pve chars are for going through the game earning and learning new skills, capping then, not taking the lazy way out, if its far then buy elite tomes.

pvp have all skills available so may aswell pvp with them.

the elite skill hunter title is there to show that you have done some work and spentthe time to cap em all, that or tome em.

above post, if you have fow or torment weps you can dish out around 8k for brand new skills at trader, or buy normal tomes cheap and elite tome.

Don't really see a need for this system. At most just make scroll traders sell tomes as well or something. No need to make a new system.
